BSU Racism & Discribination in Medicine

Special Guest Speaker, Dr. Sandra E. Brooks, MD, MBA, talk about the history of experimentation on Black people, why they are dying at a higher rate from Covid-19, and vaccine hesitancy. Also, Dr. Brooks will be discussing what Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion initiatives she is currently implementing at her hospitals. In addition, the BSU will be presenting information about racism and discrimination in medical schools and against Black medical professionals, the high pregnancy mortality rate of Black women, and the Black community’s distrust in the medical system. Students, faculty, and parents are all invited!
