The Aurora Beacon-News wrote a laudatory article about IRC Circulation Manager Angela Richardson’s work in the Aurora community, including her organization of Family Reading Night at IMSA and the annual East Aurora and West Aurora alumni basketball game. The 18-year staff member grew up in Aurora, and has been serving the city’s community (and ours) through many initiatives and projects throughout the years.
The proceeds of the East-West basketball game go to the Marie Wilkinson Child Development Center, whose eponymous founder was an inspiration for Richardson. Writer Tom Strong connects the two community servants in his Beacon-News piece, saying: “It is sometimes said that Wilkinson is the matriarch of Aurora, but this dynamic young lady is certainly its proud daughter.”
