2025-2026 ACT Dates

Arrival and check-in:
- All students must arrive at IMSA no later than 7:45 a.m. Students should enter through the West Gym Entrance Door #13 (Athletic Entrance).
- Bring your printed SAT/ACT Admission Ticket.
- Bring your most current school ID, driver’s license, or passport. You will not be admitted without proper identification.
Digital Testing
- If you are taking a digital test, please come with a fully charged personal computer or approved tablet device.
- Make sure all necessary programs are already downloaded onto your device before arriving for the test.
- Students must bring their own calculators. Calculators will not be provided on site.
Phones
Phones must remain off and be put away for the duration of the test. If a student is seen on their phone at any time, even during a break, testing guidelines state that the student’s test is to be thrown out, and scores are to be canceled. A monitored area will be provided for students to leave their phones for the duration of the test.
During the Test
Students must bring their own computing devices, pens, pencils, and calculators. No eating is allowed during the test or in the testing room. However, students may have a snack and a drink during the assigned breaks in a designated location. Students will not be permitted to wander the building or leave the testing location without being accompanied by a staff member. All students must exit the door through which they entered.
Parents: Parents should not get out of the cars or enter campus buildings, but please remain nearby until you know your student has been admitted.
Dismissal:
The standard exam is approximately 3 hours, including breaks (or 4 hours and 5 minutes with the writing/essay portion). Students will be dismissed by rows and will need to quickly and quietly exit the testing area using the East Gym Entrance (where they entered). Parents are expected to pick up their students in their cars. Parents are encouraged to line up curbside to help with the students’ release procedure.
