Dr. Anita White
Dean of Student Support and Equity
Dr. Anita White has been an integral member of the IMSA community for over 16 years, serving in a variety of impactful roles. She began her IMSA journey as a member of the science faculty, later transitioning to lead pre-enrollment programs, including PROMISE and EXCEL. In her current role within the Principal’s Office, Dr. White continues to oversee the EXCEL program and collaborates closely with the SRELO program to support student success.
Dr. White earned her Ph.D. in Chemistry from the University of Illinois at Chicago (UIC) and previously worked as a Senior Research Scientist at Pfizer, bringing a wealth of scientific expertise to her educational career. A passionate advocate for advancing opportunities for culturally, linguistically, and economically diverse (CLED) students in mathematics and science, Dr. White has shared her insights and expertise at numerous conferences, driving conversations around equity and access in STEM education.
Recognized for her outstanding contributions, Dr. White has received several accolades, including the “Outstanding Leader in Experiential Education: K-12” award from the Society of Experiential Education. Her dedication to fostering equity and excellence continues to inspire IMSA students and the broader educational community.
