Chief Student Affairs Officer

Dr. Berger has been an integral part of IMSA for 10 years, first serving as the Assistant Director of Student Life for Leadership Education and Service Learning and later as the Associate Director of Student Life before assuming her current role as Chief Student Affairs Officer. Throughout her tenure, Katie has demonstrated a deep commitment to student leadership and engagement. Notable highlights include launching the first Student Leadership Exchange program in 2014 and serving as the Program Chair for the 2018 International Student Science Fair (ISSF).

Before joining IMSA, Katie built a robust career in Student Affairs with experience in Residence Life, Leadership Education, Service Learning, and Fraternity/Sorority Life at the collegiate level and within the nonprofit sector. Additionally, she has served as adjunct faculty, teaching undergraduate Leadership Studies courses. Her professional excellence has earned her multiple recognitions, including the Exemplary Alumni Award for Innovative Professional Practices from the College of Education and Health Sciences at Bradley University, the Helen Bartlett Award for Excellence in Service to Students, and the IMSA President’s Award. Katie currently serves as the Immediate Past President of the Bradley University Alumni Association Board of Directors.

Her leadership is defined by her dedication to student success, community building, and fostering an environment where students can grow as leaders and innovators.
