Dr. Angela Rowley is a passionate and experienced educational leader with expertise in STEM education, teacher growth, and curriculum innovation. Prior to her role as Principal and Chief Academic Officer, Dr. Rowley served as IMSA’s Director of Statewide Educator Innovation, advancing STEM teaching and learning across Illinois. Her work included creating the IMSA Micro Credential, leading the award-winning IMSA Fusion Program, and partnering with the Illinois State Board of Education to develop innovative STEM curricula aligned with NGSS science standards and Career and Technical Education. Previously, Dr. Rowley served as Principal of Fred Rogers Magnet Academy, where she successfully opened a new STEM-focused school, designed its curriculum, and inspired educators to engage in innovative STEM education.

Dr. Rowley holds a Doctorate in Educational Administration, with dissertation research focused on developing cultural competence, along with an M.A. in Educational Leadership, an Illinois Superintendent License, and an Illinois Administrator License. Earlier in her career, she worked at IMSA as a Resident Counselor, Hall Coordinator, and Admissions Counselor, providing her with a deep understanding of the residential and academic experience that defines IMSA. Dr. Rowley is committed to building strong relationships and supporting both faculty and students in achieving excellence.
