Biography
Ms Lingyi Meng has been teaching at IMSA since January 2019. Prior to joining IMSA, Ling taught mathematics at Lane Technical High School for three years. Since the starting of her teaching career, Ling teaches calculus courses every year, but also teaches other high school math courses such as pre-calculus, algebra 2, statistics, etc. Ling received her Bachelor’s degree double majored in mathematics and statistics, and Master’s degree in statistics at University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. Realizing her passion in mathematics, and teaching, Ling then studied education at Northwestern University, and received her Master’s degree in Education focusing on secondary teaching in mathematics. In addition, she is a licensed Illinois professional educator in secondary education and IMSA’s math team coach. Ling loves animals, and enjoys spending time with her adopted tabby cat. Ling also loves crafting, baking, reading, and gaming.
