Ms. Tami Armstrong is a seasoned executive leader with over 30 years of experience in public affairs, development, and organizational growth. Her multidisciplinary background spans higher education, financial services, business advocacy, and nonprofit leadership. In her current role as Chief Public Affairs and Development Officer, Ms. Armstrong oversees communications, advancement, alumni engagement, legislative advocacy, facilities and capital planning, and capacity-building initiatives, including IMSA’s work in artificial intelligence.

Over the past eight years at IMSA, Ms. Armstrong has held multiple leadership roles, including Executive Director of Public Affairs, Chief Partnership Officer, Executive Director of the IMSA Fund, and leadership of admissions and student outreach programs. She brings a deep commitment to IMSA’s mission and a proven ability to drive innovation and growth.

Ms. Armstrong earned a B.A. in Journalism and an M.A. in Communications from Northern Illinois University. Her leadership inspires collaboration, community engagement, and the advancement of IMSA’s vision for the future.
