As a State agency, IMSA must maintain an active records management program to ensure legal preservation and/or disposal of our public records. The Academy’s Retention Schedule was most recently updated in 2018. All departments were provided a copy of IMSA’s current retention plan, which is filed with and approved by the State Records Commission. Dr. Pareja serves as IMSA’s Records Officer, and Ms. Craig assists with questions related to records retention or destruction.
An annual review of the Academy’s records ensures compliance with legal and regulatory recordkeeping requirements as well as adds value to the daily functions of all staff members at IMSA. Information is organized for retrieval when necessary, and storage requirements are minimized.
