The Student Inquiry & Research Program is proud to share that Michelle Wang ’20 co-authored a paper titled “A machine learning approach to the Detection of Ghosting and scattered light artifacts in dark energy survey images,” which has just been published in Astronomy and Computing, Volume 36, July 2021.
Michelle began her 2-year SIR project in September 2018 under the direction of her mentor, Chihway Chang, from the University of Chicago while working collaboratively at the Fermi National Accelerator Laboratory.
