Dr. Patrick Davis - Illinois Mathematics and Science Academy

Dr. Patrick Davis

Mathematics Faculty

Patrick Davis has been working at IMSA since the Fall 2018 semester. Prior to coming to IMSA, he taught at the South Carolina Governor’s School for Science & Mathematics as part of the Accelerate engineering program. Before that, he taught as a graduate student at Central Michigan University, where he defended his dissertation on the use of delay differential equations in mathematical epidemiology during the Fall 2017 semester.

As a faculty member at IMSA, Patrick continues to be interested in the mathematical modeling of infectious disease (and has worked with students on this topic in an SIR project); however he enjoys the opportunity to focus on teaching. He also serves as the operational coordinator for the IMSA Mathematics and Computer Science team.
