Biography
Dr. Fogel joined the IMSA faculty in 1994 and is currently the longest serving member of the faculty. Earning his B.S. in Mathematics at the University of Washington, Seattle and Ph.D. at Berkeley, he found that teaching was his real passion. His mathematical interests include topology, combinatorics, and recreational mathematics. Dr. Fogel is also IMSA’s head math team coach. He dabbles in all areas of math and shares the fun things he finds through authoring and administrating the ARML Power Contest. Dr. Fogel also plays tournament bridge, holding the rank of bronze life master in the ACBL.
