Can my teachers from the previous year complete the teacher evaluations?
No, all teacher evaluations must be completed by the student’s current teachers. Accommodations may be provided under specific circumstances. Please contact the Office of Admissions if you have difficulty getting your current teachers to complete the teacher evaluations.
If you are a homeschooled student, please contact the Office of Admissions for guidance on getting your teacher evaluations completed.
How can I see if a teacher/counselor has submitted the evaluation?
Once your teacher has completed the evaluation, it will appear in the "Completed Requirements" section of the landing page.
I started an application last year but it won’t let me log in this year.
IMSA is using a new application system that requires you to create a new username and password. Please note that the application account should be made with the parent/guardian information.
I got an Invalid E-mail or Password message when trying to log in, what should I do?
If you receive an error message, click on “Forgot your Password?” which will ask for your email address to send a password reset. If you do not remember the email address used for your account, please contact the Office of Admissions at 630.907.5028.
I need to submit transcripts from two different schools, how can I submit transcripts from multiple schools?
If you need to send transcripts from two different schools, please complete the following:
- Current School: Send the "School Counselor Form" to your current school counselor.
- Previous School (Optional): If applicable, send the "Previous School Counselor Form" to your previous school to request your transcripts.
How many essays does the student need to write/submit?
Students applying this year will need to submit two essays:
- Mandatory Essay: A specified challenge essay.
- Optional Essay: Choose from two essay prompts.
Essays should be between 300 and 500 words and directly respond to the prompts. Please upload your essays to your application
When should I click the "SUBMIT" button on my application?
You may submit your application once all sections are completed. While you don’t need to have all supporting documents (evaluations, transcripts, test scores, counselor forms) finalized at the time of submission, your application will not be considered for review until all required materials are received by the deadline. Check the application timeline to ensure you are staying on track with all deadlines.
